With a third place in the second race at the Hungaroring near Budapest, SPS automotive performance has secured the championship lead in the International GT Open. Thanks to consistent finishes in the points, Mikaeel Pitamber (RSA) and Dominik Baumann (AUT) and their #20 Mercedes-AMG GT3 are six points clear at the top of the championship standings after seven of 14 races.

SPS automotive performance is once again represented in the 2024 International GT Open with two Mercedes-AMG GT3s. The team from Obersulm is relying on continuity in the popular racing series. Mikaeel Pitamber (RSA) and Dominik Baumann (AUT) will be fighting for points in the #20 Mercedes-AMG GT3, as they did last year. Dexter Müller and Yannick Mettler (both SUI) will once again compete in the sister car with starting number 54.

Class podium at Bathurst debut for SPS automotive performance

In its first appearance at the Bathurst 12 Hour, SPS automotive performance secured a podium finish in the Pro-Am class. Ian James (GBR), Alex Riberas (ESP) and Ross Gunn (GBR) drove the #27 Mercedes-AMG GT3 under the Heart of Racing by SPS banner to second place in their category in an eventful race.
