Heart of Racing by SPS debuts at the Bathurst 12 Hour
After the 24H Dubai 2024, SPS automotive performance and Heart of Racing will seamlessly continue their cooperation. From 16 to 18 February, the joint venture will enter the Repco Bathurst 12 Hour with the #27 Mercedes-AMG GT3 under the Heart of Racing by SPS banner. Ian James, Ross Gunn (both GBR) and Alex Riberas (ESP) will share driving duties in this demanding race.
SPS automotive performance back on the grid with Heart of Racing at the 24H Dubai
SPS automotive performance is continuing its successful partnership with the US team Heart of Racing in 2024. At the season opener in Dubai, a Mercedes-AMG GT3 will once again compete under the Heart of Racing by SPS entry. The drivers for the event at the Dubai Autodrome will be Ian James (GBR), Gray Newell (USA), Roman de Angelis (CAN) and Mario Farnbacher (GER).
SPS Automotive Performance closes the International GT Open with victory
At the final round of the International GT Open at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, Mikaeel Pitamber (RSA) and Dominik Baumann (AUT) in the #20 Mercedes-AMG GT3 celebrated the second win of the season for the Willsbach-based team in an extremely exciting race. In the PROAM category, Dexter Müller and Yannick Mettler (both SUI) in the #54 car finished the season in a good fourth position.
SPS automotive performance aims for a successful season finish
At the upcoming season finale of the International GT Open at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, SPS automotive performance has set itself the goal of concluding the eventful season with good results. After their race win in Monza, Reece Barr (IRL) and Mikaeel Pitamber (RSA) will travel to Spain highly motivated. Dexter Müller and Yannick Mettler also intend to end the year with another good result in the PROAM class.
Update: SPS automotive performance wins second race in Monza
Reece Barr (IRL) and Mikaeel Pitamber (RSA) are the winners of the second race of the International GT Open at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza. The Irish-South African duo in the #20 SPS automotive performance Mercedes-AMG GT3 initially crossed the finish line in second place in Sunday's second race. In the evening, the initial winner received a subsequent time penalty for an infringement under yellow flag and dropped back to second place. This means that Barr and Pitamber are celebrating their first overall victory in the International GT Open in their first season together.
Next podium success for SPS automotive performance
At the penultimate race weekend of the International GT Open at Autodromo Nazionale Monza, SPS automotive performance celebrated its next podium success. Reece Barr (IRL) and Mikaeel Pitamber (RSA) raced the #20 Mercedes-AMG GT3 to second overall in a dramatic second race. Dexter Müller and Yannick Mettler in the #54 Mercedes-AMG GT3 collected further championship points with a fifth-place finish in the PROAM category.
