SPS automotive performance to contest the International GT Open with two Mercedes-AMG GT3s
In the 2023 season, SPS automotive performance will enter the International GT Open once again. In addition to the well-known driver pairing of Dexter Müller and Yannick Mettler (both SUI) in the #54 Mercedes-AMG GT3, Reece Barr (IRL) as well as Mikaeel Pitamber (RSA) will contest a full season for the first time in the #20.
SPS automotive performance in action at the 12H Mugello
Next event for SPS automotive performance. At the 12H Mugello, the Willsbach-based team will enter the #27 Mercedes-AMG GT3 with drivers Ian James (GBR), Roman de Angelis (CAN) and Gray Newell (USA) under the name Heart of Racing by SPS.
Class victory for SPS automotive performance at Kyalami
SPS automotive performance celebrated class victory in the Pro-Am class at the Kyalami 9 Hour. Henny Habul (AUS), Yannick Mettler (SUI) and Jules Gounon (AND) triumphed in the #75 Mercedes-AMG GT3 at the second event of the Intercontinental GT Challenge season in South Africa. The sister car #20 with Reece Barr (IRL), Miguel Ramos (POR) and Luca Stolz (GER) rounded off the strong result for the Willsbacher team with third place.
Kyalami 9 Hour: SPS automotive performance enters two cars in South Africa
After the successful start to the year in Dubai, the next task lies ahead for SPS automotive performance. From 23 to 25 February, the team around Stephan Sohn will field two Mercedes-AMG GT3s in the second race of the Intercontinental GT Challenge season – the Kyalami 9 Hour.
Class podium for SPS automotive performance at the 24H Dubai
Successful kick-off to the 2023 motorsports season at the 24H Dubai. SPS automotive performance claimed a class podium with The Heart of Racing's #27 Mercedes-AMG GT3 right at the start of the year. Ian James (GBR), Gray Newell (USA), Roman de Angelis (CAN) and Ross Gunn (GBR) finished third in the GT3 Pro-Am class in their first outing with a Mercedes-AMG GT3. The German-American collaboration project also set the fastest race lap on the circuit at the Persian Gulf.
